Bio : I currently live in Okinawa, Japan, where I work in the communications office of a research institute. In my evenings I plot my future podcast and look for freelance stories.

I just completed a master\\\\\\\'s degree from Boston University in Science Journalism. I tend to report on environmental science, especially waste and global development, but I have reported on everything from the physics of sound to nanotechnology. I tend to find stories and then choose the media that demonstrate the story best.

Before BU, I completed a biology degree at Stanford University, having toyed with potential careers in bioengineering, neuroscience, and finally, field ecology and evolutionary biology. Seven weeks of collecting frogs and 14,000 insects later, I realized that I missed people. I started working at the Stanford Storytelling Project, where I interviewed students and faculty and produced stories for a weekly radio show.
