Bio : The Kitchen Sisters, Davia Nelson and Nikki Silva, are award winning NPR documentary producers who have been working together for more than twenty-five years. They are the creators, with colleague Jay Allison, of the duPont Columbia Award winning Hidden Kitchens series on Morning Edition, the Peabody Award winning NPR series Lost & Found Sound and the post 9-11 Sonic Memorial Project.

In addition to producing radio, Davia Nelson is also a screenwriter and casting director.

Bio : Steve Nelson is the program director for the Infinite Guest podcast network from American Public Media. Prior to that, he served as program director for MPR News from 2009 to 2014 and as program director for 89.3 The Current from when it launched in 2005 to 2008. From 2000-2002, he was associate producer for public radio\'s national arts and culture show \"Studio 360\" at WNYC in New York, where he helped to develop the sound and content of the show from its inception. He started his broadcasting career as a morning show co-host at commercial Twin Cities music stations during the mid-1990s. He also worked as production director and sound engineer at various Twin Cities stations. Nelson graduated from the University of Minnesota with a journalism degree and helped to create Radio K, the University\'s music station.

Bio : Ben has a varied background in both the sciences and the arts. But he tries to bridge these two fields through storytelling. Inspired by programs like NOVA and POV on PBS, as well as Carl Sagan\\\\\\\'s Cosmos, and Connections by James Burke, Ben pursued a career in documentary film making. He has traveled widely to gather stories, from The Gambia, to Scotland, to Haidi Gwaii and all over the US. After several years as a production sound mixer on documentaries Ben took his knowledge of sound and storytelling into the word of Radio.
