Bio : I’m a radio producer, multimedia reporter, and have recently dipped my toe into interactive documentary design. I currently work with State of the Re:Union (www.stateofthereunion.com), a show that travels the country telling stories of America, one community at a time.

Before joining SOTRU, I created the Austin Music Map (www.austinmusicmap.com), an interactive exploration of the city’s musical subcultures, produced in collaboration with KUTX, Zeega, and Localore.

I’ve reported stories for NPR’s All Things Considered, Latino USA, the BBC, and community radio stations across the country. I’ve also worked extensively with the Third Coast International Audio Festival in Chicago (www.thirdcoastfestival.org), where I produced Re:sound, a weekly remix of documentaries, music, field recordings, and found sound on WBEZ.

Working with new radio makers is one of my favorite things, and I’ve taught audio reporting to young people at Street Level Youth Media, Texas Folklife, and the University of Chicago.

For the last two years I served as Managing Editor of their podcast and radio show, State of the Human. In this capacity I instructed undergraduates in radio and narrative craft, managed production workflow, contributed editing to all pieces, and lead- or co-produced 7 hour-long episodes.

In addition to my work at the Storytelling Project, I\'ve worked on pieces for VoiceBox, MashCast, and helped out on a piece for This American Life. I\'ve also served as artist in residence at AS220 (the coolest place on earth), where I made a multimedia project about memory. This summer, I worked on \"Nothing About Us Without Us,\" an initiative in Kenya to reduce disability stigma. We\'re putting the voices and stories about people with disabilities on the radio.

As of January 2015, I\'ve starting working with Rooftop Comedy to make storytelling and comedy podcasts.
